Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PageSight, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

Description of Service

PageSight provides an API service for extracting and analyzing webpage metadata, including but not limited to Open Graph tags, Twitter Cards, technical information, and other website data. The service is provided "as is" and subject to availability.

User Accounts

To use certain features of our service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your account information
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service without permission
  • Exceed rate limits or attempt to circumvent them
  • Use the service to extract data from websites that prohibit scraping
  • Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service

API Usage and Rate Limits

Your use of the API is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. Free tier users are limited to 10 requests per minute. Premium users have higher limits. We reserve the right to modify rate limits with reasonable notice.

Payment and Billing

For paid subscription plans:

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
  • Failure to pay may result in service suspension or termination
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time

Intellectual Property

The service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by PageSight and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the service without our express written permission.

Data and Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect service availability. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PageSight SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PageSight and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the service shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.
